Citadel Kastellet on the island of Zealand Copenhagen Denmark Kastellet, also Frederikshavn, is a citadel on the island of Zealand, on the shore of the Øresund Strait, which protected the approaches from the Copenhagen roadstead to the Innerhavn harbour of Copenhagen from the land.
