When converting a Golf 2 or Jetta 2 to a 1.8T or other engine, it may be necessary to install an electronic throttle (DBW), depending on the engine. For this, the accelerator pedal from a donor vehicle (e.g., Golf 4, Audi A3, or TT) is used. A new mounting bracket is required so that the pedal can be integrated into the original pedal assembly.
