Masu (枡升) are boxes that were traditionally used to measure out rice. Because rice was such a valuable commodity, these denominations became a form of currency. Nowadays, masu are used for decorative purposes and in sake pouring. There are two sizes included in this listing, extra-large (isshou) and the standard size. The standard masu measures around 8 cm x 8 cm x 4.5 cm. The extra-large masu measures around 18 cm x 18 cm x 9 cm. If using this in contact with food, you may want to consider food safe filament. This article does a good job at exploring more about food safety as it relates to 3d printing. | Download free and paid 3D printable STL files
