The Buffalo is an armored vehicle developed to resist landmines and improvised explosive devices. This means is also known as Mine Resistant Ambush Protect (MRAP). The Italian Army has purchased 4 of these vehicles. On June 16, 2009, an Italian MRAP was damaged after an improvised explosive device (IED) blew up the front left wheel. Fortunately, the crew was not harmed.
