Dérivé du mot "iaret" signifiant "le ressuscité", Uraeus est un symbole égyptien ancien significatif qui est fait d'un cobra montant. Le symbole d'Uraeus représentait le lien entre les dieux et les rois/pharaons et les pharaons étaient reconnus avec le symbole d'Uraeus qu'ils portaient. Uraeus a également symbolisé l'autorité et la puissance absolues des dieux et des pharaons. On croyait qu'il donnait des pouvoirs magiques et assurait une protection magique à celui qui le portait.
