Descended from at least one parent’s side from the Fire Giants or creatures from the Elemental Plane of Fire, they are filled with fiery rage that gives them speed and power to wield mighty hammers, maces and bastard swords. Their fire heritage frequently shows in fiery hair or beards and eyes like burning lumps of coal. Far North is a place of cold and darkness for the greater part of the year. Food and warmth are scarce so those barbarian tribes who dwell there frequently choose to align themselves to various supernatural beings, spirits and elementals – even demons and fiends – in order to survive.
