This apex predator, closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex, measured up to 12 meters (39 feet) in length and weighed around 4-5 tons. Characterized by its massive skull, powerful jaws, and sharp teeth, Tarbosaurus had a robust body and relatively short, muscular arms. It inhabited the diverse ecosystems of the Nemegt Formation, preying on large herbivorous dinosaurs.
