Air Assist Adapterby RebelTaz This is an air assist adapter plate for an AtomStack A5 Pro. This replaces the left side UV panel and is designed to accept a 3/16" metal pipe. I used an old brake line cut and bent to the correct shape. The angle of the hole puts the air at the focus point of the laser - just push the pipe through the hole until the end of the pipe is even with the bottom edge of the UV panels. For an air pump, I am using a Lewisia 20W aquarium air pump rated at 571 gph (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R387CN3). Since this pump doesn't have a power switch for some reason, I plan on building an electronic relay circuit so that I can control power to the pump directly from LightBurn through the laser controller. The pump is connected to the pipe through standard aquarium hose. With this setup, you can build your own air assist for under $40 - even less if you, like me, have everything but the pump on hand. As you can see in the photos, there is a significant difference between with and without air assist. This is best printed standing up on it's bottom edge with a brim using tree supports everywhere. I prefer 1 perimeter/wall with 9999 bottom layers. You get a better print than 100% infill. | Download free and paid 3D printable STL files
