Tau'cat Engineering Drone

Not all Space Communist drones carry guns and rain fire down on the enemies of the Fish People. Many are used in construction, creating the earthworks and fortresses of the Fish People's empire. The Tau'cat engineering drone is among the largest. The drone itself often leaves the hull, scanning and surveying the site, then connects to the main body to operate the backhoe and bulldozer blade. I spent three years running a D-9 dozer in a phosphate plant, and I drew a lot on my experience as a heavy equipment operator to create this model. I tried to make the earthmoving parts as accurate as possible, while still making it look futuristic. Do I think drones will ever take over earth moving? I hope not. There's something extremely enjoyable about taking a million dollar, twenty-ton piece of equipment and driving into the side of a hill to tear it apart.
