Description

Harking back to a simpler time when blast templates existed and superheavy rules were questionable at best, the Red Planet conversion kit can make your plastic superheavy look like the relic pattern tanks that lurk on eBay at the price of a small house or two kidneys. Please note: This is a extensive conversion kit, not a full model. You will need to separately acquire a plastic superheavy kit to modify. It will require fairly extensive modification of the base model (including removing and replacing lots of rivets...). I would recommend getting a set of sanding sticks to help you get a consistent surface finish. Miliput White/Fine is also an ideal epoxy putty to help fill any gaps. A razor saw will also be an ideal tool for cutting off details flush to the surface. As always, remember to wet sand! Resin dust is no joke! For the rivets, drill a 0.8mm hole and then snip the rivet from the sprue and carefully glue in place. The tracks contain the standard track link as well as the skull eagle design. There is also a blank track link without a skull so that you can add your own iconography (like an 8 pointed star of the bad people). Similar to this, the fuel tanks have two versions, one with a eagle, and one blank design for kitbashing. The searchlight is from MKHands excellent comms kit, check it out here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/interstellar-army-lemoine-russel-improved-communications-bits For this model, I scaled it to 150%.
