This is my design for a magnetic quick-release key clasp. A few weeks ago, I went on Amazon to look for ways to attach my Citi Bike key to my regular set of keys. After doing a bit of research, I realized that it was impossible to find a quick-release key clasp priced sanely. So I decided to 3D Print my own using magnets I picked up at my local Home Depot (as shown in the picture). However, I also attached a fusion 360 file as well as a preset file made for 6mm x 3mm magnets (the same magnets Devin from Make Anything uses for his Sphericon puzzles and the same magnets that Angus from Makers Muse uses in his Easter Egg Puzzle). Just a quick heads up: YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING FUSION 360 LICENSE AND THE APP MUST BE DOWNLOADED ON YOUR COMPUTER. However, If you are using Fusion 360 for personal or education uses, a licence is free. And as an added bonus, the print is under 30 min guaranteed! Post Print Instructions:1.) Remove the Support Ring on the bottom2.) Apply Super Glue into the hole3.) Press your magnet into the hole (softly tap it in with a hammer if it won't budge).4.) Seal the edges with more super glue to ensure a long lasting bond. | Download free and paid 3D printable STL files
