In economic downturns many people are forced to dispose of valuables that are not necessities. Among these things are the gold watches that are bought to melt their cases and bracelets, leaving the machines of the same going around the world. They are generally movements of very high quality and prestigious brands. The thing is that years ago a jeweler friend gave me some of these machines as a gift and I decided to assemble a new watch for my wife. I thought it was fun to put together the preciousness of the mechanism with a cheap case made of 3D printed plastic. In addition to the Rolex 6620 caliber I used a 28mm diameter by 1mm thick flat crystal and a flat rubber gasket to seal the back cover. The crystal is glued to the case from the front. I also purchased a leather strap with a 15.5 mm wide gold buckle in the attachment area and two retractable pins for the strap. The Rolex 6620 caliber is 27 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick (counting the hands), so this case could fit another of similar measurements. The rubber gasket is Seiko FH-3080-B01. IMPORTANT: Verify the measurements obtained with your machine in 3D printing. Make at least one test print and verify the dimensions before purchasing the glass. Also verify the fit of the box with the lid.
