Hello, this is my first contest and I hope my design isn't considered too complex. Even though the final table is not continuous- each component is, and each prints without support and snaps together.The most difficult part of this challenge for me was not being able to print tests at full scale and adjust the results, I would love to print on a huge scale!I have successfully printed a smaller scale prototype (.15%) that was originally ment to be held together with a bungee cord, but changed the final design to be self-connecting with a clip (snap-off the built-in support on the clip after printing). Please print (1) head, (1) tail, and as many body segments as you like for length (try 4-5) -you will also need a leg for each segment.For better asthetics, the legs are best left loose to rotate/adjust as you twist the table rather than fixing them in place. I have not printed full scale, you can make the legs wider to provide more tension to hold them in place. Models were novicely and freely created with meshmixer and sketchup, I apologize that I do not have any fancy rendering software.Finishes:For a mid-century look, I would print the tops black, and then change the color as it prints the sides to a warm cherry woodgrain. The legs would be nice if you could do metallic.I like the blue that I printed the prototype with, maybe with white legs instead of black for outside by the deck,patio or pool? Print them in a transluscent white/natural, with bamboo legs, and add LED…
