Kitty lamp

A pretty kitty lamp to brighten your evenings. A friend of mine got this idea of a lamp slightly resembling the shape of a flame and with some kind of drawing on it. Kitties are so cute and everyone loves them (I have got a cat myself!), so we went for it. My friend drew a basic sketch on paper and I 3D-modeled it on Autodesk Inventor. The result came out nicely, therefore I proceeded developing the base to make the whole thing work: screw for the lamp shade, support for the lightbulb, holes for the cables... And so it worked! Now that I have defined the functional parts, I can also think about new lamp shades or different external looks for the base. Suggestions and demands are all welcome! Components The lamp is made of two parts: base and lamp shade. - The base is designed to hold a lightbulb suitable for a E14 socket, which snugs into place tightly; - the lamp shade is screwed into the base with ease. It can be oriented to get the best position for both the drawing of the kitty and the light switch. Assembly 1. Cut a cable 2. Pass the cable through the first (external) hole of the base 3. Turn the cable around the socket holder to avoid accidental tearing 4. Pass the cable through the second (internal) hole 5. Connect the cable to the E14 socket 6. Tune the length of the cable passing through the holes and press the E14 socket into place 7. (Mount a light switch) 8. Screw lightbulb and lamp shade 9. Enjoy!
