On the other hand, Russia has a towed engine (D-27) that has been put into practical use. In 2017, ground tests of planetary gear, double-rotating, and pusher engines were conducted at SAFRAN. In 2021, CFM International announced its "RISE" program, which aims to make its first flight in 2025. Unlike the previous engine, it seems to have a unique configuration: puller type, 1-stage fan + 1-stage guide vane.
