Xango (o Changó) es una de las deidades más importantes en la mitología Yoruba y la santería, orisha del trueno, el rayo, el fuego, la justicia, la danza y la virilidad, conocido como el rey de los orishas, que representa la fuerza, el poder y la autoridad, y es un juez justo que castiga la injusticia y la mentira, a menudo representado con un hacha de doble filo y asociado a los tambores y la música. Su figura también se asocia con un rey histórico, siendo el tercer rey de Oyo, Nigeria, y figura en diversas leyendas sobre sus relaciones con otras orishas como Oshún, Oya y Oba, además de ser el creador del culto de Egungun.
