MyMiniFactory で見る ↗説明
With my edited 3D prints I highlight the use of new media in a museum environment. The object in focus is titled Epichysis from the collection of the Musée Saint-Raymond. Epichysis is an ancient Greek jug which stored oil for funerary practices. The artefact in question has been released open source. Software such as Meshmixer and Adobe Photoshop was used to manipulate and alter the scans. The projection of an image directly on to the 3D printed objects adds an unseen context. By (re)creating ancient artefacts, I enable the beholder to also engage with the sculptures through touch. My practice is concerned with (tactile) engagement, interaction and the relationship between the artist and the museum.
