IC-7300 LIGHT BAR

Its a real shame the Icom IC-7300 does not have backlit buttons! I operate mostly portable, often while camping out through the night. I could use a head torch but decided to come up with a better solution. The power cable for the light strip is routed though a small channel that runs through the right hand side panel. The model allows for any LED strip that is 5 mm in width and up to 223 mm in length. DO NOT USE dimmable LEDs as they are known to cause noise. I purchased a light strip from TEMU.COM that can be cut to length, power cable soldered. Use 4 x 2 x 8mm machine or self tapping screws to attach the light bar to the side handles. I have added a 2nd version of the bar that has no screw holes for those that prefer to CA glue it into place As with all my models, should you have any issues or would like me to make changes just use the email link in my profile to get in touch!
