Since that day she has vowed revenge, dedicating herself entirely to seeking out Mindoriel’s Spawn and their rotten-hearted followers, and putting a swift end to them. Fifty four years later, her home is still destroyed, and the fire in her heart burns greater than ever. Virana was raised as the daughter of ranger parents, in Nan Thalias’ old capital of Elen Estel. She had shown promise as a tracker in her youth, placing highly in her peers during training and standing out in athletic events as well. It was during scout training: a one-month excursion into the forests east of the city that Virana’s life was forever changed. In this time, Quorenderi, dark divine of the deep sea, flooded the city of Elen Estel, unleashing torrents of water from beneath the earth alongside swathes of his fiends and aberrations from the deep. The city was destroyed, alongside tens of thousands of its Elven inhabitants. Virana’s parents fought in its defence, but ultimately were felled by the foul spawn of the dark divine. On returning from the trek, Virana, alongside her peers, were all distraught. Her like many of her kin, were now orphans.
