This adapter is made specifically for the Sony E 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS (E-mount APS-C) and allows you to reuse an existing 130 mm Newtonian full-aperture solar filter. Instead of fragile M52×0.75 filter threads, the adapter locks directly into the original lens hood bayonet groove for a stable and quick installation. No extra solar film required — reuse what you already have. 🔒 Secure Retention The solar filter is mechanically secured inside the adapter body by four integrated snap tabs, helping prevent accidental displacement during use. 🧩 Credits The hood locking geometry is based on the ALC-SH115 hood model originally published on Printables. Full credit to the original designer for the bayonet reference structure.
