My second attempt at designing and building a 3d model.The pelorus is built as a number of parts to allow printing on an Ender V3.The 4 Rings were printed using the "High Quality 0.10mm" setting. They were printed with the recesses, numbers face down on the bed.The remainder can be printed with the Normal 0.20mm setting.There has to be 4 brackets printed (one for each end fo the CenterArm)Some parts, namely the CenterArm and Arm, show up as too large for the printer table, but I have designed them to be placed diagonally on the table.The sights have been made to be replaceable. The future plan is to be able to fit a small telescope with a sighting line (recticule), as in a telescopic rifle sight.I have designed the Arm to pivot on a 5/8 x 1 3/8 flanged bearing (small wheel bearing) which fits over the center spigot of he CenterArm.There are 4 ring sections that have to be glued together (follow the number sequence). The ring had to be in sections to fit on the printer table.The graduations and numbers on the g sections are recessed to allow for easier painting. I used a small sringe and sringed black ink into each recess.The 4 Brackets fit on the ends of the CenterArm and then the forks on each Bracket fit either side of the support blocks under the completed ring (glued together). This also helps to reinforce the joints in the ring.Finaly there are two small holes in either end of the slot in Sight2 these are to fit a sighting wire (the smaller the diameter the better).
