The Biomechanical Gorget is a highly detailed 3D printable neck and collar armor piece inspired by organic, alien, and biomech aesthetics. Flowing rib-like structures and layered forms create a piece that looks grown rather than forged — perfect for dark sci-fi, biomechanical, cyber-fantasy, or gothic armor builds. 📏 Measuring Instructions Cosplay / Wearable Use: Measure neck circumference at the base of the neck Measure collarbone width (shoulder to shoulder across the front) Measure neck height from collarbone to jawline Scale the model uniformly so the inner opening fits comfortably without pressing into the throat. 💡 Always preview internal dimensions in your slicer before printing. 🖨 Printing Instructions Recommended: FDM or Resin printing Layer height: FDM: 0.16–0.2 mm Infill (FDM): 10–15% 🎨 Finishing & Painting Tips Sand lightly and prime before painting Use dry brushing to highlight raised biomech details Metallic, bone, or matte black finishes work especially well Gloss varnish can create an organic “wet” biomechanical look Weathering washes enhance depth in recessed areas 👕 Fitting & Wearing Tips This gorget is designed to sit on the shoulders and collarbones, not hang from the neck Can be worn over fabric, foam armor, or bodysuits Attach using: Hidden elastic straps Velcro Magnets Leather or fabric harness underneath A hairdryer or low-heat heat gun can be used to gently adjust the curve for a better fit ⚠️ Use low heat only and adjust gradually
