.38/.357 Chamber Safe

Lock out your chamber for dry fire practice, storage, or transportation! Just hand feed or magazine feed the Chamber Safe into your chamber and the spring loaded arms keep it in place even when running the action. For rimmed cartridges like .38 special or .357 magnum, make sure to align the rimless side of the cartridge with your extractor. This allows it to headspace properly and prevents the extractor from popping it out when you run the action. Removal is as easy as threading a standard 8-32 cleaning rod into the back of the Chamber Safe and pulling out, or pushing it out from the front with a cleaning rod or other tool. I came up with this thing to eliminate the possibility of accidentally loading a live round during my PRS and USPSA dry fire sessions. It can also be used to secure your firearm if you don't have access to a safe. It isn't as secure as a locked away firearm but it will prevent accidental loading and firing of your firearm. I also find it helpful to use when showing a new shooter how to safely handle a firearm. It puts the teacher and learner at ease knowing there is no possibility of an accidental discharge.
