Los samuráis eran la élite guerrera y militar del Japón feudal, activos desde el siglo X hasta su abolición en 1868. Conocidos como bushi, servían a señores feudales (daimyo) bajo un estricto código de honor llamado Bushido, que priorizaba la lealtad, el coraje y la disciplina. Su arma principal era la katana, aunque eran expertos en combate
