French Cleat Extendable Side Lock

If you are like me and have tried to optimise your wood usage when building tool holders, then you might find that the common French cleat locks do not work for you. I have designed this lock so that it can be extended past a tool holder to reach where your holder doesn't.For now this is a single size that fits my 50mm tall, by 12mm thick French cleats. The lock will allow you to extend past this depending on screw placement. If you need different dimensions, feel free to drop a comment and I will see what I can do.3 wall loops with 15% infill seems to work fine for me. Supports are needed for the bracket.I recommend greasing the bracket or pushing the bar through a few times first as it is a deliberately tight fit, to prevent racking.For wider holders, I recommend one on each side.Boost MeThanks for supporting my hobbyBoost
