Intended as a replacement for the default splitter that comes with the rack. The splitter will slide on to the aluminum rail, from the top, or if you are very careful, it will snap in to place with out disassembling the rack.When using with a side loader, like the Ender3 V3+, I recommend mounting your reels top up for the top two and bottom down for the bottom two. Yes, sounds silly, but if you try doing the same with a top loader, like the Ender3 V3 KE, you will run in to binding issues. Instead, the KE likes to have all 4 rolls mounted top up. In both cases, mounting two splitters right side up, with the rolls as mentioned, I have not seen any issues so far. I am able to switch between any of the 5 rolls with ease...4 mounted on the rack, 1 on the printer itself...the splitter helps keep the filaments handy and tangle free.
