These double-sided radius blocks are designed for accurately truing and shaping the top surfaces of nuts and saddles. Printing both blocks provides four commonly used radii, allowing quick transitions between profiles without requiring multiple individual tools. Designed for use with PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) sandpaper, the blocks provide a consistent reference surface for accurately sanding radiused contours into a variety of materials including bone, Tusq, brass, Micarta, and other common nut and saddle materials. The body geometry has been optimized to reduce material usage and print time while maintaining rigidity under normal sanding pressure. Internal structure and wall layout were designed to minimize unnecessary plastic consumption without sacrificing stability during use. PETG is recommended over PLA due to its improved heat resistance and durability under friction. Extended sanding sessions can generate enough localized heat to soften or deform PLA, particularly when using coarser grits or applying heavier pressure. The dual-radius design maximizes functionality while minimizing bench space, making them useful for both rough shaping and final surface refinement during setup and fabrication work.
