With a 20-year career, 1.8 billion dollars in sales and 100 million games sold (in 2024), Lara Croft has gone from being a simple idea to an icon. Since 1996, Lara Croft has undergone many changes, from the "Teflon" adventurer who was a hero at heart, to the fragile young girl who discovered her taste for adventure. The biggest change came with the 2013 reboot. Lara is known the world over and has become a role model for many gamers. A true virtual star, she is now both an icon and a symbol.
