Easy Top Hat

Notes: This is a supportless, easy to print top hat, which you will need a large scale (300X300mm) printer to print. There are 3 types of crown. I have printed the simplest one without issue. It is fairly thin, but thick enough for strength of printed on a well setup printer. The higher one should print the same and the ornamental one should have no issues either. The brims are in three sizes. I have printed my hat at 95% of the size, with the Large brim. If you need a bigger hat (my head is a med), you have to print the Med brim to match the size ratio. I had to place the brim diagnally on the bed to get it to fit. The smallest brim is there encase someone needs a huge hat. The brim CAN be sunk into the bed more, which is what I did. A thinner brim will be easier to shape with a heat gun or hairdryer (what I used). I glued the brim to the band and crown and then shapped it after gluing. I place it on a countertop and used the round edge to allow a smooth surface to bend to. The sides were bent up slightly while on the head. You can use the shiney side, which you should have from that first layer, so that the brim is nice and shiney! There are 3 bands. A plain one, Skulls, and supportless skulls. The band is pretty straight forward, prints easily, and the crown should slide in. Again, make sure the RATIO of SIZE is the same, or nothing fits.
