The Multicolor Pattern Coaster is designed to print with filament changes at different layer heights. There are 3 distinct surfaces to show off each color (Will print just fine if you'd like to print with 1 or 2 filament colors if you'd like). I included a picture of showing the difference. I made this with a single extruder printer using simplify3d guide: https://3dprinterwiki.info/pause-at-layer-height-simplify3d/ Alternatively you can slice with whatever software you like and manually edit the gcode for the pause at the specified layer(s).
