Here are a few parts designed to simplify and optimize the manufacture of an Asian hornet trap. I've based myself on the type of trap that specialists are so unanimously in favor of. It is certainly open to criticism, and some will think that other models are more effective. But don't worry, give me your suggestions and technical specifications, and I'll try to develop an alternative model or models. The umbrella is the front door, and as its name suggests, it also protects the trap from the rain to prevent it from filling up with water. The passage hole is 8mm Ø, allowing an Asian queen to pass through, but not a European one (remember that European hornets are necessary to our ecosystems, even if we don't appreciate them). On the way down, we find the "escape" room, which allows other insects (also necessary) to escape via a small platform leading to Ø6 holes. The bottom of the trap, the "base", is pierced so that the enticing scent of the liquid contained in the tank can diffuse and attract our targets. The reservoir is screwed to the underside of the whole so that the liquid can be replaced when necessary (usually 8-10 days). The mixture is thus neither diluted by rainwater, nor saturated by insect bodies. It can be replaced even if insects are still alive in the trap. The use of water bottle sections is designed to maintain translucent surfaces so that you can monitor what's happening in the trap and intervene in safety.
