In the 31st millennium, heresy based offences are considered especially heinous. In Hive-World Herkaliaum, the dedicated battle brothers who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories; Arbiter Benson: "By the Emperor's golden throne! This poor soul has been tainted by the Ruinous Powers." Battle Brother Stabler: "It sickens me to see such corruption. Let's hunt down the heretics responsible." [As they investigate, they encounter witnesses and suspects, all cowering in fear.] Arbiter Benson: "In the name of the Emperor, speak! Who's behind this despicable act?" Witness (stammering): "I-I saw nothing, Arbiter! P-please don't purge me!" Battle Brother Stabler: "Hush, mortal! The Emperor's wrath awaits those who withhold the truth." Battle Brother Munch: "Let's purge them just to be sure, the only good heretic is a dead heretic" [They Purge] Arbiter Benson: "Another victory for the Emperor, Astartes. But our work is never done."
