CHRISTMASXCULTS I updated the "gripper " so the star grabs the lights better. The files are StarCover5*. Enjoy your holidays! This is a cover for string mini lights that are commonly used for holiday decorations. You push an individual light into a hole on the bottom of a star. The hole is tapered to accept light base diameters of 8 to 10 mm. The hole wall is split to allow the cover to "grab" the light base without touching the incandescent glass bulb. The light will be held in the center of the star and illuminate the star from the inside. There are star-shaped holes front and back that allow heat to escape and also project a lighted star shape on nearby objects. The covers did not heat up at all with all the different incandescent lights I have tried. You can make a single cover to "top off" your tree, or a bunch of them to cover all the bulbs on your string. Transparent or translucent white covers can be used with colored bulbs to take on the bulb's color. Or colored covers can be placed over white lights. Star Light Cover3.stl has a cutout for LED type mini lights. Enjoy!
