"The Pontiff was known for his unusual sense of justice, though it was unclear if he was motivated by some poetic muse or merely cruel humor. Any who opposed his law so severely were to be executed, forcefully bound to his elaborate, animated constructs. Thus the enemies of his will were converted into his elite guards.
