These solar eclipse sunglasses are your ticket to watching the next two total solar eclipses in 2017 and 2024 as well as partial solar eclipses. Size them up or down to your according to your needs. These were modeled after the early 1980s "robot sunglasses" that were popular at the time. They were also known as "Devo sunglasses" which was a popular band at that time since they wore similar sunglasses and later by a more recent band called The Phenomenauts. You can see them being worn in the 1983 music video, "No Tengo Dinero," by the Italian band, Righeira, and in the 1997 music video, "Everlong," by the Foo Fighters. You can also see them being worn in the 1980s film, "Sixteen Candles." These were oversized for complete coverage over the eyes and for those who wear glasses. The black 3d printed model was sliced with Cura, 15% infill, and support. The pics show it printed showing the area of support, supports removed, and the solar film installed. The solar film can either be two layers of mylar or solar filter film used for telescopes which you can purchase at your local astronomy supply shop or online at Amazon. This was cut to size slightly larger than the viewing area and taped or glued into place. The best adhesive for this application is Goop brand or Elmer's Stix-All mult-purpose adhesive. I have two basic versions - a plain one and one with 3d graphics (2017 and 2024 eclipses).
