Dovetailed Box Puzzle, Cube Dissection A design mindset allows us to tinker with ideas and designs. In the case of the dovetailed box (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4429575 ), one could ask, “Is it possible to dissect a cube into two congruent pieces?” Indeed, it is not only possible but also adds *more challenges to the puzzle. The present design is a dovetailed dissection of a 50mm^3 cube, with an optional locking feature. One needs two copies of the same piece for a cube. Two pins (diameter < 8mm) can be used to lock the two pieces. Because of its structure, it is pretty challenging to unlock the box. One needs to carefully move the two pins into their holes for unlock the box. Please be patient while trying to imagine the positions of the pins. To Lock up the Box Push the pins into the deeper holes and slide the two pieces into each other. To UnLock the Box Be patient; try to move the pins (with your mind’s eye) back into the holes.
