Some projects start with a plan. This one started with four full-sized game boxes… and no way to play. The Dark Quarter promises everything I love about board games — rich theme, vivid art, and storytelling that pulls you into a neon-lit, supernatural 1980s New Orleans. The components are gorgeous. Mystery hides behind the numbered minis, the skill cards ooze character and pop culture, and the world feels alive the moment you lift the lid. The problem? The app wasn’t ready. The boxes just sat there — waiting. Taunting.
