This is my 3D‑printable version of the Whelen WS‑2000R, built to rotate and sound as close to the real thing as you can get with hobby‑grade parts. I modeled the housing, rotator, and proportions based on real WS‑2000R references, then designed the internals so everything fits cleanly with basic Arduino components. To make mine functional, I used simple, inexpensive parts you can grab off Amazon. Here’s the exact setup I built it with: ELEGOO UNO R3 (main controller) 28BYJ‑48 stepper motor + ULN2003 driver board (for rotation) HiLetgo PAM8403 3W+3W amplifier (for boosting the audio) DWEII 3W 4‑ohm mini speakers (for the siren tones) Male‑to‑male Dupont jumper wires (for all the wiring) SNANSHI USB Type‑A to Type‑B cable (to program the Arduino) *Just copy and paste into amazon k?) All the wiring is just plug‑and‑play with Dupont jumpers, and the whole electronics setup cost me around $40–55 total. The model prints in multiple pieces so the rotator, motor, and speaker all drop in without forcing anything or needing weird supports. Once everything is assembled , the head rotates smoothly using the 28BYJ‑48 motor, and the speaker + amp combo gives you clean electronic tones.
