M113 Cargo Hatch

This is a straight replacement for the cargo hatch found in 1/35th scale M113 kits and will improve the appearance of this prominent area. The basic dimensions were taken from the old Tamiya kit but the design should work on most manufacturer's kits as this is a stand alone item. Either way, the mounting holes in the kit roof most probably need to be filled. Details have been addded based on the few clear photos of the prototype I could find, as well as parts in the Eduard photoetched sets. While the design is not 100% accurate it is still close enough to work for me. NB: The attachment plate for the handstrap is included but the actual strap need to be made from a thin length of lead foil, tape or similar material for a natural look. The hatch can be printed as a complete assembly or printed as separate files and assembled afterwards. Product no: SI35005
