“The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers” (“Los Guardianes de la Galaxia”, as it was translated for Latin America) was an animated “Space Western” series, produced by Robert Mandell together with Gaylord Entertainment Company and Transcom Media, released on September 14, 1986 and until 1989. It consists of 65 episodes in total. The synopsis of the series, narrated in the presentation, reads as follows: “In 2086, two peaceful aliens traveled to Earth seeking our help. In exchange, they gave us the plans for the first “hyperdrive”, allowing humanity to open the doors to the stars. We have assembled a team of unique individuals to protect Earth and our allies. Brave pioneers committed to the highest ideals of justice and dedicated to preserving public order across the new frontier. ” The Galaxy Rangers team is made up of Zachary Foxx, the leader; Shane "Goose" Gooseman, the strongest; Walter "Doc" Hartford, the intellectual, and Nikto, the female member of the group with psychic powers. The two aliens, Waldo Zeptic and Zozo, are frequent collaborators of the group.
