Large HeadThe aim was to print something bigger than the printer. I got AI to produce two pictures of a head inspired by the Creator from Prometheus, one picture from the front and another from the side (see below).Then I got a different AI to create a 3D mesh from the two photos (free online AI, cant remeber which one). Fusion 3D was used to scale, reduce the complexity (it kept crashing my laptop), and cut the 3D model into 8 parts that would each fit on a K1C build plate (200mm x 200mm x 250mm).Once all the 8 parts were printed, I made holes in the internal faces, super-glued them together, then filled the model with builders foam using four holes in the base. The holes made in the internal faces allowed the builders foam to swell and fill the inside of the entire head.The head stands roughly 46cm tall once assembled. Each of the 8 parts takes between 3 and 5 hours to print due to the size, but uses surprising little filament as each part is largely hollow, except for some lightning infill to support the top print faces.Print SettingsSupport - Tree Support, AutomaticSeam Position - RandomInfill Patern - LightningSparce Infil Density - 10%Each part prints largely hollow, with some fine supports internally, so not hugely strong.
