Floating Island Top

This took a very long time to make! It is not a cheap model, because I spent such a long time making it and perfecting it. It is a floating island meant for fish tanks, ponds, and other water-based creations. It has some really intricate detail that took me hours to refine and I will be releasing a bottom side later in case you want the full floating island effect.The original model was sized for an Ender 5 Max, so it is very large! Almost a full 400mm wide! But you can resize it down if you have a smaller printer.I suggest printing this in PETG or ABS.I printed mine in plain white ABS and will paint it later. If you choose to do this, be sure to use either Krylon Fusion paint, or spray on several coats of clear Krylon Polyurethane spray afterwards. This will protect your paint and make it safe for fish.You can also use epoxy resin to coat it after painting, but be sure to give it about 2 weeks to fully cure before placing it in water.You can use gradient filaments or several spools of colored filaments to build it if you don't want to spray it, but you'll need to do a lot of detail work to separate it for the various colors. One good option would be to paint (or print) the whole thing in brown or gray, and then use an airbrush to spray green from only one side, as if algae or moss is growing on the side hit most by the sun. But this isn't an affect that can be done very well with filaments.The rough patches on the top were added to help plants attach…
