//IMPORTANT! This is only a prototype model. While it is functional, there are still many unresolved technical issues, namely that the grip strength tends to deteriorate after a few days of usage, although this may be caused by the PLA filament used. The rod that threads the clips together is also not the most ergonomic to hold and needs to be made larger. I have shared this mostly as it may be helpful to other designers as reference material. Please beware of these issues if you choose to print this.//The StackClip is a modular paperclip system that uses bulldog-style clips to hold paper, with multiple clips then being secured together using a rod and nut combo. This allows for multiple different document categories to be stored, transported, and secured together while still remaining separated and being less bulky than a binder. I developed this for a school competition.This has been tested to work using a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro using PLA filament (although PLA is likely not optimal). It is highly recommended to print the rod lengthwise.I may update this project in the future. Some possible optimisations may include lengthening the rod, making it more sturdy, and adding a carry handle. If the current clip issues cannot be fixed by using a different filament, then it may be good to replace the 3d printed clips with metal bulldog clips instead (although this may require redesigning the nut so that they stay on the rod.)Original Onshape flies can be viewed here if you…
