Populate your tabletop gaming with the Crested Quill creature from Sol'Kesh. Flitting through the forest understory, the crested quill displays an unusual pack hunting technique. With their spring-like legs, the small swarm synchronously launches themselves at flying birds, their sharp mandibles piercing hide and bringing down prey much larger than themselves. While descended from locusts, these insects do not amass in swarms thousands strong but, instead, group together in small packs of their original spawning. These spawn-kin spend most of their lives hunting together until they chance upon the spawn-kin of another. Through an array of mesmerizing dances, the two groups will form and split, exchanging males to breed and propagate further swarms to patrol the Wealdwoods.
