A replacement plunger cap was developed for the Samtronic ST670 infusion pump to substitute the original damaged part and restore full functionality of the equipment. The plunger cap’s function is to secure the flange of the plunger rod to the syringe presence sensor, ensuring precise and safe detection of the syringe position during pump operation. The replacement part was designed for compatibility with both the plunger and the sensor, mechanical durability, and ease of installation. This solution ensures reliable syringe detection, maintaining infusion accuracy, patient safety, and correct operation of the infusion pump.
