FIRE ESCAPE HO SCALE

This HO scale (1/87th) FIRE ESCAPE project can be laser cut or 3D printed with the .stl file. Your laser cutter must be capable of cutting .010" Styrene or Mylar sheets. The secret to cutting plastic with very fine detail is using very low output wattage with multiple passes. Depending on your machine, 10-20 passes are common for fine detail. This way the plastic doesn't heat up and is allowed to cool between passes. The stairs are designed longer to allow for trimming based on your floor separation height. The laser cut version is designed to be folded while the 3D printed version will have to be glued with Contact Cement applied with a hypodermic needle bottle.
