UPDATE 14.03.2020: Das Filament changed the direction of the filament end. So I modified the design to work from both directions. This is a redesign of the MasterSpool by Richard Horne (aka. RichRap). The spool is now fully symmetrical. The spool end can be fixed more easily and there is a release path for filament run out. Now, there are six evenly distributed spots to hold the 1.75mm ends and the filament does not stand out as far as in the case of the original. 2.85mm ends can be held by the hexagonal pattern. But the main reason why I did this redesign is for my DasFilament refills. 1.75mm DasFilament refills have a maximum (not squeezed) width of 44mm. Richard defined a spool width of 46.7mm. In my opinion, this is too much free space and has a disturbing effect. Therefore I reduced the width to 44.4mm. The Fusion project can be downloaded here. I tried to use parameters as much as I could, so you can change the size to your needs. You may also be interested in the matching label clip.
