The ultimate goal behind this project is to optimize the T64 grinder to its highest possible performance standard. The 10° tilted base represents the next step toward achieving ultra-low retention. By introducing a forward tilt, gravity naturally assists the coffee grounds in traveling directly into the dosing cup or portafilter, minimizing buildup inside the grinding chamber and chute. This design helps reduce retained fines between the burrs and internal pathways, resulting in cleaner operation, improved consistency, and lower overall retention.
