Miranda-class MKI From its humble beginnings as a workhorse of the Federation's fleets, this dependable class of ships has ended up making a name for itself across the annuls of history, even if some of those circumstances have been less-than-flattering. This Mk. I variant is representative of the earliest iterations of the Miranda spaceframe, dating back to early 2260s. By the mid 2270s, most ships in the fleet had been refit with a variety of new propulsion and defensive systems. Only a handful of Mirandas were built in their original configuration before the production line was paused to incorporate these technological advancements into new construction from the keel out.
