Many know about it, but few tell about it. It is a story that describes a being similar to a tall, strong and hairy man. Some say he is like a gorilla. He lives in the caves of the bush. Compiled versions say that he is very aggressive with men, abducts children to eat them, kidnaps women to take them to his cave and there have sex with them. Sometimes they reproduce. He also steals animals in the corrals and the produce of the milpas. No one wants to have an encounter with the Sinsimito, but, if it happens, there is a way to escape. You have to find a way to make him laugh; either by dancing ridiculously or playing guitar. He must laugh a lot until he falls down.
